Mindfulness Mini-Course

Learn basic practices you can use right away to enjoy more balance and ease in everyday life - including mindfulness with breathing (or other preferred anchor), sitting, walking, eating; and awareness of body, thoughts, and emotions.

This small-group class offers personalized instruction in a quiet space dedicated to wellness. Appropriate both for those new to mindfulness, and those with experience who’d like a refresher with live guidance and companions to boost their practice. Ages 17 and up.

Course instructor Barbara Newell taught mindfulness and meditation around the world with Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh from 2003-2015. Since 2016 she has been training students individually and in online courses led by renowned meditation teacher and psychologist Tara Brach.

Cultivating wellness, resilience, and emotional balance. This weekly group empowers teens with tools for mental, physical, and emotional well-being.

Mindfulness is a mind-body awareness practice that fosters calmness, focus, emotional regulation, & compassion while decreasing stress, anxiety, & depression. Yoga combines mindful awareness with flowing movements between postures that balance, strengthen and heal the body & mind. Together, yoga and mindfulness form a powerful toolkit for adolescents, helping them navigate the challenges of today's world with composure and resilience. By teaching practical skills for health & happiness in a positive & supportive environment, this unique program cultivates well-being from the inside-out.

Friday Refresh is a weekly offering for psychotherapists designed to recalibrate the nervous systems at the end of each week. We combine breath work, guided imagery, gentle movement and chanting to resource therapists and to provide an experience of community support and care. The practice aims to decrease vicarious traumatization and increase resilience, satisfaction, and joy in our work.

This 8-week course teaches college and graduate students practical skills for finding calm, focus, emotional balance, and resilience. Mindfulness can be seen as a box of tools for making the most out of life; it helps us to navigate stressful situations, and to be more present for the enjoyable moments as they pass. Over 40 years of research shows that mindfulness decreases stress, anxiety, depression, and emotional reactivity while improving concentration, sleep quality, physical health and psychological well-being. Join us to learn how to calm those racing thoughts and relax into your life!

Skills for Emerging Therapists:
A Supervision Group for LLMSWs

Rolling Group
Third Wednesday of Each Month  |  6:30 - 8:30 pm  | $75/Month

This monthly supervision group aims to support emerging therapists in both deepening core clinical skills for effective interventions as well as developing skills for emotional resilience. Each two-hour session will include discussion of a chosen reading, clinical skill building, consultation on cases, and engagement in a relaxing contemplative practice (meditation, breathing, yoga, etc).

Skills, topics, and readings will include topics such as mindfulness, emotion regulation, vicarious trauma and will draw from current knowledge and research. Participants will be able to guide topics to tailor to their needs. Participation is limited to 6; $75/month.
