I’ve been in private practice in mental health in Ann Arbor for over 30 years. With deep experience in the field, I’ve recently joined Grove as a collaborator, bringing my background in psychotherapy and coaching to a wider community. I’m both a Licensed Social Worker and a Licensed Health Coach.
My practice began with a Post-Graduate Fellowship in Infant Mental Health, where I was a faculty member at the University of Michigan Child Development Project. That training focused on developmental challenges in infancy—particularly congenital blindness—and how early experiences can shape attachment styles and relationship patterns throughout life.
I later continued my work at the University of Michigan’s Department of Child Psychiatry as a psychotherapist and parent coach, where I maintained a full clinical caseload and taught seminars on Play Therapy, Infant Attachment, and Early Childhood Development.
Looking for alternative and ancillary approaches to mental health care, utilizing diet, supplementation, and life-style changes, I received my certification as a Health Coach in 2016. Adding this knowledge base to my practice is typical of my approach to mental health treatment now.
In my current practice, I see clients across the lifespan—from infants to older adults. My therapeutic approach is eclectic, allowing me to work with a wide range of presenting issues, including:
* Living with Uncertainty
* Life-style and alternative approaches for emotional and behavioral issues
* Parent Coaching
* Older adults with retirement/longevity issues
* Behavioral and attachment issues in infancy and early childhood
* Children with Autism Spectrum navigating adolescence and early adulthood
* Play therapy with young children
* Teens with chronic mood disorders
* Adults of all ages going through life transitions
* Academic and clinical supervision
If you’re interested in becoming a new client, feel free to reach out to me by phone or email. I’d be happy to connect after a brief (10-15 min) free phone call. -
