Nicole Perry is a Clinical Psychologist who is known for her warm and compassionate approach. She welcomes clients at all life stages and has extensive experience working with adolescents, twenty- and thirty-somethings, and parents. Nicole provides a non-judgemental space where clients experience feeling valued and cared for. She works to ensure that clients of all races, ethnicities, religions, genders, and sexual orientations feel safe, seen, and respected. Nicole invests deeply in each client she works with; she meets their experiences with openness and curiosity as she seeks to mirror their goodness and foster their strengths.

Nicole is adept at working with clients who are struggling with life transitions, anxiety and mood disorders, trauma, eating disorders, and those seeking therapy to better develop their relationship to self and others. She has specialized training in evidence based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). These models provide a strong foundation for her work with clients; additional models that she is currently studying and drawing from include Internal Family Systems/Parts Work (IFS), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP), Polyvagal Theory (PVT), and Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC).

Nicole offers both short-term and long-term therapy; she believes that finding a therapeutic home where you can establish a strong relationship with someone who knows you and your history deeply can offer an invaluable perspective. Having this space to return to as needed provides a beneficial and consistent resource to support lifelong resilience.

Providing therapy for the past 20 years, Nicole received her masters and doctorate degrees from the University of Denver and practiced in Denver, Colorado for much of her career to date. An Ann Arbor native, she is happy to have returned home and joyfully joined Grove Emotional Health Collaborative in 2018.
